How to enter an unlocking code to Sony Ericsson phones

Model : Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

1. Insert a non-accepted SIM card into your phone
2. Switch your phone on
3. It will request to enter an unlock code
4. Tap the box where you have to input the code and a number pad will appear
5. Type in the unlock code we e-mailed to you
6. Press the 'Unlock' button on the phone
7. Your phone should now be unlocked

Model : Sony Ericsson Satio and Sony Ericsson Vivaz


1 - Switch ON your phone without a SIM card
2 - Compose the following on your phone:  #pw+code+1#
(where 'code' is the unlock code we sent to you by email)

Press the star (*) button repeatedly to make the p, w and + appear.

1 - Switch ON your phone without SIM Card,
2 - Press 1 time the left arrow,
3 - Press 2 times the button * ,
4 - Press 1 time the left arrow,
5 - The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear,
6 - You can now enter the Unlock Code we send to you.

If your phone have a "JOGDIAL" (ex : SonyEricsson K700i) you must press "down arrow" instead of "left arrow" for step 2 & 3. We mean by "Down Arrow" to direct the Jogdial down !

We might send you more than one single unlock code, i.e. NCK, NSCK, SPCK, CCK codes. If this is the case then you first need to find out which one of these locks is used on your phone by following the below instructions:

Type the following in to your phone: >*<<*<* (right, star, left, left, star, left, star). A menu will appear on screen, scroll to 'Simlock' and check which lock type has a locked padlock status (e.g. NCK, SPCK, etc).

Whichever lock type has the 'locked' padlock status, use the correct code given to you accordingly to unlock your phone, using the instructions given at the top of this page.
